The oil should be reddish in colour and the darker the colour of the oil the more likely your Hyundai i30's transmission oil needs replacing. On the Kia Rio mk2 1.5crdi, jack the front car up and take of the left-hand wheel. Remove the plastic guard cover on left side coving the part of the gearbox. There should be 2 10mm bolts. Looking at the gearbox, at the very bottom of the gearbox at the lowest point, there is three bolts. The 17mm bolt in the middle is the drain plug.
